PRESIDENT - LEO FRAPPIER
I’m a retired professional firefighter with 30 years of dedicated service with the city of Sudbury. The last 10 years with the fire service, I was a Senior Public Safety Officer. In that role, I brought professional expertise in project Management, team building, media relations, and strategic planning. I am also proud to be bilingual. I was a community member with Safe Community and am a past Master Mason with the Sudbury Lodge. I was recognized as Firefighter of the Year in 2015 and received the Fire Service Exemplary Service Medal. As the new president of Legion Branch 76 I look forward to working with everyone at the branch and community members to continue making Branch 76 a great place to be!
1ST VICE PRESIDENT - GEORGE VERGE
I joined Branch 76 in 1973, shorty after our current building was erected. I have served on many executive commitiees throughout the years and have been 1st and 2nd Vice President as well as President in 1989-1990. As well, I have experience in the executive at both the district and zone levels. I was proud to help with the building of the cenotaph that is used in the community arena for remembrance day ceremonies. As a life member the Royal Canadian Legion and past president of this branch, I have been in a consulting role and work hard for the well-being of this branch. My dream is to see a new Legion building in the coming years, something I will work hard with my counterparts to achieve.
2ND VICE PRESIDENT - KAY HEDLEY
Along with my role as 2nd Vice President, this year I will be co-chairing the membership committe and working closing with the Sports & Games chair. I have been a member of the Legion for over 30 years and a Ladies Auxiliary member for over 40 years. I am always excited to get involved and learn more about specific details about our branch. I am eager to help the president and his executive committee members fullfill their goals this year. I am especially excited to help with the annual Track & Field event and play darts on thursday nights at the branch!
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT - SYLVIA PREVOST
I have been a member of this branch for 16 years and have been a part of the executive membership for 15 years. I have held many positions within the branch and Ladies Auxiliary and most recently have been President of the branch for the past 3 years. This year, I will be serving as membership chair and immediate past president. I look forward to working with my counterparts to ensure the branch continues to thrive! Membership is continuing to rise to pre-covid levels and I am excited to see them continue to climb.
SECRETARY - BOB CULLENS
I am looking forward to my role as Branch Secretary for the 2025-26 Term of Office. I have been a Legionnaire for 7 years and have been on the Executive for 1 year. In addition to my secretary responsibilities, I will be continuing as Chair of the Youth Education Committee as well as working on the 100th Anniversary and Commemorative Banner initiatives.
I am looking forward to continuing to work with a wonderful Executive Committee on behalf of the membership of Branch 76. The energy level and commitment of the group makes it very easy to want to be engaged and working on behalf of the Branch.

TREASURER - ADRIENNE LEMIEUX
I am a 19 year Legionairre currently serving as the Branch and Poppy Treasurer. I have served in various executive roles since 2011. I have had roles including branch hall rentals, catering, lottery & bar, branch secretary, constitution & laws and honours & awards. I look forward to working with my fellow executive members to make it a great year at this branch!
POPPY CHAIR - JUDITH (JUDY) ROBITAILLE
I have been an active member of Branch 76 and at the Zone Level for a total of 15 years. I have chaired as 1st and 2nd Vice President, Interim President, Youth & Education, Secretary, and Bursaries. I am always willing to help with the Branch's important ceremonies and events. This year, I will be taking on the role as Poppy Campaign Chair. I hope to see all Legionnaires and non-members support the campaign and help if they are able. Veterans need our support more than ever, especially with the rising costs of medical and everyday nesseccities. Please reach out to the Legion if you would like to help with the poppy campaign.
P.R.O./WEBMASTER/ARCHIVES - KYLE MILLAR
I have been a Legion member for 8 years and this is my first year on the executive committee. Along with the duties of Public Relations Officer, I have created a new website for the branch, and control the new Instagram page and Facebook Group. I am currently working to organize the branch's archival records and will work towards keeping the history of Branch 76 alive. HOUSE & PROPERTY/CADET LIASON - CHRISTOPHER CAWTE
I have been a member of this branch for one and a half years and have been greatly involved since. I proudly come from a family with a long line of veterans with Great Grandfather served 25 years with the Royal Navy (UK) and my Father serving 3 years with the Royal Air Force, Bomber Command. I am currently Chair of the House and Property Committee and the Cadet Liaison Officer. I am eager to continue to work with future legionnaires and ensure the quality of the legion building and its beautiful outdoor space. My passion is participating in Remembrance Ceremonies and marching in Parades as a part of the Colour Party.
SPORTS & GAMES - ROBERT FRASER
I have been a Legion member for 20 years and a part of the executive membership for 3 years. I have always been interested in the sports and activities that the branch hosts. Being new to Sudbury and to this branch, I decided to get involved to meet new people and have a good time. I am excited to be a part of the sports and games that go on here at Branch 76 this year!
Music/Entertainment - WANDA & CHARLIE MALLETTE
We have been members of this branch for 6 years and have been executive committee members for 3 years. We very much enjoy our involvement in the entertainment and music events at Branch 76. We are in charge of putting together Tuesday and Thursday afternoon dances, karaoke events, holiday dances and special events. We are excited to see that the events at the branch are growing in numbers, especially the new karaoke events that began this year. We cant wait for the next year of music and fun at Branch 76!
BRANCH SERVICE OFFICER - RICHARD (DICK) PERRAS
I have been a Legionnaire for over 25 years and a part of the executive for 3 years. As Branch Service Officer, I communicate directly with veterans in our area who may need support. I look forward to working with other members and veterans to ensure they are taken care of and given the help they need. Veterans are encouraged to contact the legion if they need us.
NEWSLETTER - DIANE FRAPPIER
I have been a Legionnaire for 30 years and a part of the executive for 25 years. I am presently the newsletter editor and have acted as Public Relations Officer for Branch 224 in the past. While at the Copper Cliff branch, I was honoured to recieve the District H Newsletter Editor of the Year award. I look forward to once again work as the volunteer coordinator for the branch and urge everyone to fill out the online volunteer form. I am also very excited to once again help with the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Arena.
BAR CO-CHAIR - DONALD DEMPSEY
I have been a Legionnaire for over 50 years and a part of the executive membership of this and an other branch for 20 years. I am excited to work with my co-chair to ensure that the bar continues to opperate smoothly and with the highest quality of service.
LOTERY/SENIORS - GEORGE MIDDLETON
I joined the military as part of the Royal Canadian Signals and was posted in Kingston, Ontario. I retired from Vale after over 30 years with the company. I plan on using my experiences in various community groups to help this branch succeed. I look forward to working with other executive members to ensure the seniors of our branch are taken care of and treated with the respect they deserve!
